Teenage Gay murderer faces jail

Teenager Ben Bamford, who murdered a high-ranking civil servant after they met via the gay dating app Grindr, posed for a picture in hospital while making an obscene gesture, just hours after the killing.

Bamford inflicted more than 40 injuries during a “sustained attack” on senior HM Revenue and Customs official Paul Jefferies, including slashing his throat at his country cottage.

Mr Jefferies was found naked with a tea towel over his head on his blood-covered kitchen floor in Mayfield, East Sussex.

Bamford was found guilty of his murder at at Lewes Crown Court today and is now facing life behind bars.
