Soho stands with the victims

Thousands of people are expected to gather on London’s Old Compton Street at 7 pm this evening for a vigil in remembrance of the 49 people who died and others who were injured in Orlando.

Police carried out patrols in Old Compton Street and its surrounding areas last night to reassure people.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who was launching Pride in London’s No Filter campaign outside City Hall, said the city stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the victims and their families.
